Join Trish of Amazing Maui Stars for a small-group Haleakala sunset and astronomy outing. You’ll ride to 10,000 feet, learn about the volcano’s plants and wildlife, watch the sun set above the clouds, then use a telescope to view stars and planets. Warm outerwear, chairs, binoculars, and hot drinks are provided.

“Our tour guide, Trish, had to cancel the tour due to bad weather, namely very high winds. She offered us an alternative date but we were unavailable then due to having to fly home. Trish was very good at keeping us informed of the situation. We offered her a sizable tip due to her trouble but she refused that. Trish was exceedingly good and we shall greatly miss being able to go on the tour with her. Hopefully we can go with her on a future trip.”

“This was AMAZING! We walked to a super dark part of the beach where we saw more stars than we've ever seen in our lives! The guide was SO smart and told us all kinds of facts about the stars, planets, and galaxies. He had this awesome laser pointer which went all the way up to the sky so he could point our particular constellations. The MOST amazing thing we saw was Saturn. The telescope was so powerful that you could see the rings. This was the last activity we did on our trip and it was the perfect, most relaxing way to cap things off. If you (or your…”

“The Maui Sunset & Stargazing at Haleakalā Audio Driving Tour was fantastic! The narration was engaging—informative but not overwhelming. I loved that it wasn’t just constant talking; there was a nice balance with instrumental music between stops, which made the drive even more enjoyable. The tour gave helpful suggestions and pointed out things to look for ahead on the road, making the experience smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Haleakalā!”
